Study details
24 professionals worked in a controlled office for six days while the air quality changed without their knowledge. With more fresh air and fewer airborne chemicals, their cognitive test scores were 101% higher on average. Each 400 ppm rise in carbon dioxide was linked to about a 21% drop in scores.
